Women's Ministries | MY MPC

Women's Ministries is committed to gathering women together to grow closer to our Lord through Scripture study, service, and fellowship. As we draw near to God, He draws near to us; prompting us to reach beyond our comfort zones. We have numerous opportunities for you to get involved in Women's Ministries at Memorial Park Church! Our programs are divided into four branches: Service, Caring, Discipleship (studies & classes), and Fellowship. Whether you're looking for a way to volunteer or searching for a class to enhance your spiritual journey, we have something for you! View opportunities below.
Freeze It Forward
We understand how difficult it can be as a single mom, which is why we have a team here at Memorial Park who takes the time to make meals for our Single Mom Freezer Shelf! Single mothers are encouraged to come by and pick up a meal when they are short on time. If you'd like to join our team and make freezer meals, sign up below.

Love Notes Team
Receiving a card in the mail at just the right time is such a blessing. Would you like to be a part of our team and adopt a month to be the card coordinator? Contact the Women's Ministries office to sign up!

Snack Packers Team
Nearly one in every four students in the North Hills School District qualifies for free or reduced lunches. The North Hills School District Backpack Initiative was started to offer those same students some healthy and substantial after-school snacks. Just down the road, North Hills Christian Church helps pack those snack bags, and they are looking for packing helpers. Can you join the Snack Packers Team? We will meet once a month at North Hills Christian Church to pack snack bags for students. Packing takes between 60-90 minutes.

We understand more of who God is and who we are in Him when we dig into the truth of scripture. Join a Bible study so we can grow closer to Christ together! For more information on any of our Bible studies, or to sign up, contact the Women's Ministries office. Our classes generally run in the fall from September through December, and in the winter from January through April. We also have several summer study opportunities. Our current classes are listed below.

Women to Women
Begins April 17
9:30-11:30 AM
Meets Every Wednesday
Westminster Hall
Our Wednesday morning studies are a great place to get to know other ladies in our church family, and to be encouraged and challenged by God’s word. Join us for “Connections Time” before study during which we share a light breakfast and devotional/prayer time together. We also use this time to worship in the sanctuary once a month before our Bible study begins. We then split into study groups at 10:00 AM and spend our time deepening our faith through Scripture study and discussion. Free childcare is available—please indicate that you are needing childcare when you register for class.

Class for April 17-May 15
Facilitated by Michele Holmes
Ladies, join us for a deep-dive into the book of Colossians! We'll spend four classes discovering the powerful message of this letter and what it means for our faith journey today. All you need to bring is your Bible and a pen---can't wait to see you!

Working Women
Begins April 17
7:00-8:30 PM
Meets Every Wednesday
Edinburg Room
Ladies, sometimes days are long. You’re up early and out the door, heading to an office or a workplace or dropping off the kids at school. You put in a lot of hours at a screen or behind a desk or with your children at home. Dinner comes and you’re wishing there was a time set aside just for you afterward. There is! Come join our Working Women study on Wednesday nights this fall. This is a special time set aside for ladies who cannot come to a daytime Bible study and who are hungry for God’s Word and fellowship with sisters in Christ. Come in your cozy clothes and get ready to dive into Bible study with us—this is vital for your heart!

Our classes normally run from January through May, but this year, our session will be broken into two parts: the first half of the session we will offer two classes; the second half of the session we will offer one class.

Racial Unity Focus Group
Open to all men and women!
For the past few years, there’s been a vibrant group of praying men and women from MPC who have been dedicated to learning more about God’s heart for racial unity in a divided world. We pray together, enjoy conferences together, read and discuss books together, and seek ways to build relationships with diverse groups of Christians in the Pittsburgh area. We hope you will consider joining us.
